9 Reasons to Create a Scrapbook Titled "All About Me"

Do you ever feel like you scrapbook just about others and never about yourself? It can be a challenge just to get yourself in front of the camera, so scrapbooking about yourself is probably at the bottom of your list. But making an All About Me scrapbook album is important and you can join me as we take that journey starting in September.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not sure what to scrapbook about myself, but I know that it’s important to document my stories. I want you to join me to create an All About Me album and spend time scrapbooking about yourself. Let go of any hesitation you have about making layouts about yourself. You should create an album about you because no one else will. Your All About Me album isn’t just another scrapbook and I want to tell you why it’s important.

Here are 9 Reasons to Join The Journey with me:

  1.  1.     Creating an All About Me album is something that your family will cherish for years to come.  It’s a little peeks into your life, but sometimes it’s hard to really talk about your  thoughts and opinions from that time. Maybe you think it’s not something significant. It is. Only you can really tell your own story. Your scrapbook becomes a living legacy. It shows your personal growth, the changes you make in your life, the people that are a part of it, the choices you make in how you live your life.
  2. Make an All About Me album for Your Own Personal Growth An All About Me album doesn’t have to be shared with others. You can keep it to yourself as a personal journal. You can use a structured plan for writing or treat it like an open book. Your life is important too! When you start to tell your story you’ll realize how much there really is to tell.
  3. I know that the value of scrapbooking goes beyond the end result- that the very process is important.
  4. For me, scrapbooking is a way to tell the stories of my myself and my family. I feel that I appreciate certain moments a little more, or perhaps it’s just that I’m more aware of little things that make our life unique and special by scrapbooking them.
  5. It provides an excellent way to express your creativity. One of the great things about scrapbooking is that there are no rules for creating your pages. You can express yourself in a way that is truly you and find your unique style
  6. Do Something With All Those Photos. I’m sure you’re like me and have hundreds if not thousands of photos sitting on a device, memory stick or in the cloud somewhere. It seems like we forgot that the purpose of taking the photo is to print it off. But it’s also super overwhelming to have those hundreds or thousands of pictures sitting it piles or envelopes taking up space and stressing you out.
  7. One other benefit of scrapbooking is that you become much more intentional and thoughtful about the pictures you take. You start to see through the lens of your camera or smartphone a little bit differently.
  8. Becoming a scrapbooker is excellent for your health! Some of the benefits you’ll see are: helps reduce stress and it alleviates depression and anxiety
  9. One of the best parts of scrapbooking is all the new friends you make. It’s common for scrapbookers to get together to create with one another.

Let’s find the missing person in your scrapbooks… YOU! I encourage every scrapbooker to make sure that you are a part of your scrapbooks. Tell your story; you are the best person to do it!
