Tropical Friends
I love making cards using the beautiful Designer Series Papers (DSP) and those found in the January to June Mini Catalogue are fantastic. I created this cards using the tropical papers called "Artfully Composed". These tropical papers come as 12" by 12" 6 double sided sheets with different design patterns on them for a total of 12 sheets.
Instructions
Step 1 - Prep your papers
Create your card base by cutting a piece of 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" Granny Apple Green cardstock and scoring it at 4 1/4"
For the mat, cut a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White cardstock.
Cut a piece of tropical leaves paper sized 2"wide by 5 1/4" tall from the Artfully Composed DSP
For the sentiment tag, punch out a Granny Apple Green and a Basic White tag using the Elegant Tag Punch (Annual Catalogue page 147#155762 $24)
Step 2 - Build the Card
Adhere a sheet of Paper Lattice (Annual Catalogue page 141 #155697 $8.25) to the right area of the Basic White cardstock. Ensure there is a nice white boarder around the lattice. Secure down on the left side with adhesive (this will be covered by the DSP)
Secure the 2"wide by 5 1/4" tall from the Artfully Composed DSP to the left side, over lapping the Paper Lattice. Ensure the DSP is lined up from the left and top/bottom edge of the Basic White Cardstock.
Step 3 - Add Ribbon
Wrap a piece of the Blushing Bride from the 1/8" Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack found on page 43 from the January to June Mini Catalogue (#158140 $12.25) around the Basic White/DSP, ensuring that it falls along the seam. Secure ribbon on the back of the Basic White.
Secure the Basic White/DSP/Paper Lattice piece to the card base front
Step 4 - Sentiment
Stamp a sentiment on the Basic White cardstock tag in Memento or Evening Evergreen Ink
Cut the Granny Apple Green cardstock tag in half so that the Granny Apple Green tag will extend beyond the top and bottom.
Secure the Granny Apple Green tag pieces behind the Basic White sentiment, allowing a bit to peak out on the top/bottom
Decorate with embellishments and or Wink of Stella
